A warming, alcohol-free take on the classic hot toddy. Spiced apple juice simmered with cloves, cinnamon, and black pepper, finished with honey and lemon.
Add apple juice, cloves, cinnamon sticks and peppercorns to a small saucepan. Set over medium heat, cover, and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.
Strain the solids from the apple juice, discard, and return the juice to the pot. Stir in the honey and lemon juice. Divide into mugs and serve.

Prepare the recipe through Step 2. Let cool completely, then transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 5 days. Reheat gently in a saucepan over low heat until steaming before serving.
